We flew back from California last night–the travel went super smoothly and Hudson was a rockstar! (Some more details here). As expected, the biggest challenges were the car rides (he’s still not a fan of that car seat), but even there he did well. So we’re feeling encouraged for an exciting day trip…
Aron and I are looking forward to going to the annual Stone Barns Harvest Fest in a couple of weekends. We visited the farm once before to go to the legendary farm-to-table restaurant, Blue Hill at Stone Barns, for an anniversary dinner—which was amazing—and toured around before the meal. It’s such a beautiful place.
I think I first heard about the Harvest Fest when Martha Stewart judged their pie contest and we’ve meant to go ever since, but somehow the weekend never worked out. Tickets include hay rides and live music, farm demos and other family activities. And there’s a cash “farm market” with a host of local vendors. Read all about it, here.
The Harvest Fest is October 1st, from 10am-3pm; you can buy tickets here.
