A few months ago, we decided our little apartment was in need of some green.
I happened upon Sprout Home, in Williamsburg, and came home with some lovely ferns. The maiden hair was the first to go, but I’m afraid that none survived our trip to India.
We visited again just before we left for Vermont, and picked up a pot for our basil plant; I was reminded again what a beautiful shop it is.
The space is divided between indoor and outdoor space (showcasing one of those fantasy New York backyards), and seems to–appropriately–cater to urban gardeners and, specifically, apartment dwellers with plenty of container garden inspiration and an ample supply of terrariums. They told us that they’re expanding to open a flower shop next door, which is just down from Moon River Chattel.
And the basil gave me hope that our little plant will thrive in its new home.
