There’s a great spot, just a few minutes from our house, called Impossible Acres, where Hudson got choosy with the pumpkins and wide-eyed on the tractor (he tends to clasp his hands when he’s really excited and focused). You’re pretty much guaranteed to run into friends there this time of year; most local kids seem to have a season pass to come visit all of the baby farm animals! We didn’t even make it in the barn Saturday, so I’m sure we’ll be back soon.
Such a difference from our first visit to a pumpkin patch with Hudson (aka pumpkin fail).
Later that afternoon, we stopped by a nursery school festival in charming, nearby Winters—and got serious about decorating pumpkins with friends.

P.S. Some of you asked me about finding 3/4-sleeve sweaters for fall. This one is the Old Navy Dolman-Sleeve Sweater, and it’s on sale right now!
