On the east side, we had a chance to check out the Water Taxi Beach, where music blasted and drinks flowed; take in views of Brooklyn; and embark on an Ikea-sponsored boat ride to Red Hook.
And the west side, with its long path from Battery Park up to Riverside park, has provided some incredible escapes from the city this year. Though we’ve been there (it seems like) a thousand times, it never ceases to impress us. Every time we are there around sunset, on one of these warm, summer nights, we wonder to ourselves how we could we ever leave this city!
