Floral Ice Buckets (& Friday Links)

Chin chin! My jaw dropped when I saw these DIY floral ice buckets. If anyone is hosting a graduation party this weekend, this would sure be a lovely way to serve some champagne!

What are you up to this weekend? Aron and I are going to drive into San Francisco on Saturday, for the West Coast Craft Fair and then to see Hamilton at the Orpheum! I can’t wait! His parents have offered to make it a sleepover night, so we’re going to stay overnight.

And the kids had their last day of school yesterday (I’ve been sharing some photos on Instagram), so now that school is out, I’m making plans for fun things to do next week.

A spring weekend in Lake Tahoe

Just over a month ago, Aron and I were skiing while the snow fell. Last weekend, we watched the last frozen pile in front of the cabin melt away, and found the nearby meadows bursting with color. Streams are full and waterfalls are flowing; the decks are open and the crowds are still low—it’s an amazing time to visit Lake Tahoe.

Where do you get your beauty advice?

I feel like, for the majority of the past ten years, all the beauty advice I’d taken to heart was gleaned while getting ready for my wedding. I started paying attention to skincare (it helped that Aron was doing a dermatology rotation at the time) and went around to department store makeup counters to get makeup tutorials.
