I recently came across this wonderful web site: Sheaff Ephemera. Dick Sheaff, a graphic designer, collects and scans all kinds of ephemera to share (“stamps, postal history, trade cards, billheads … cartes-de-visite, stereo views, tickets, engravings … early letterpress printing, typography, books … “).
This hand-drawn envelope is one of my favorite items I’ve spotted thus far, but there are so many interesting tidbits.
