With Cinco de Mayo right around the corner, this is a no-brainer cocktail to make! Buuuut lets be honest. Don’t you think this would be good ALL SUMMER?! Oh, the words summer and cocktail make me smile so big. I can hardly wait.
I love this Grapefruit Margarita so much, and here are a few reasons why:
It’s gorgeous.
It’s simple.
It’s delicious.
It has Cointreau!
INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup fresh ruby red grapefruit juice
3 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 tbsp agave nectar
1.5 oz blanco tequila
1 oz Cointreau
extra lime wedges to rim glass and garnish
sea salt
DIRECTIONS
Add all in ingredients to a shaker and shake vigorously over ice.
Rim glass with lime juice and gently roll in sea salt to coat the rim.
Add ice to your glass and strain your drink into your glass.
Garnish with a lime wheel and cheers with a friend.
(But you watch this video until the end you will see the ironic reason why its border-line inappropriate for me to be concocting this particular recipe. Smile.)
So sweet—thank you so much, Jessica! Perfect for Cinco de Mayo (and all summer!) indeed.
What’s your drink of choice for summer? I always like to have one of these for Cinco de Mayo, but I’m going to have to break out the Cointreau, now.
SEE Salt is created by Jessica with her mom Terri, who has always taught her the confidence to create. Together they love to play in the kitchen and hug n’ kiss on Jessica‘s two little babes, Caroline and Benjamin.
P.S. In addition to creating gorgeous recipe videos for her own site, Jessica contributes recipes to Hither and Thither on a regular basis—some original (like this) and some from SEE Salt. See her most recent, an couscous salad that could be dinner tonight. (Oh! And I already asked her about her perfect shade of orangey-red nail polish, and it’s Tasmanian Devil by Opi!)
