Every once in a while the New Yorker puts out an issue where every article is fantastic. This occurred way back in November, but I didn’t get around to reading it until Christmas. Besides a piece on Kramer’s kitchen knives–which I now lust after but will likely never buy, the issue drew my attention to Dogfish brewery. I’ve tried a couple of their beers, mainly their IPAs out of academic interest as hops are not my thing. Then, while shopping at Whole Foods for a recent dinner party I found a new, enticing variety.
The dinner party was great fun; everyone contributed and we made some delicious food. And the beer? It was “Raison d’être.”
