Dance space

This past week has been a generally stormy one in New York (not exactly the weather I envisioned when planning my parents’ visit from Southern California, ahem), but we did have a few lovely evenings–and a particularly gorgeous Saturday.
On Wednesday night, after a stroll through the West Village, we walked out to the tip of the Christopher Street Pier–toward the music, toward the dancers practicing the Argentine Tango. What a practice space! It was a particularly lovely scene to share with visitors.*

I’d love to learn: Volvo Tango meets at Pier 45 every Wednesday, rain or shine, from 5:30-9:30 p.m.

*Hopefully it was lovely enough to make up for what followed:
a meal which sent my dad to the ER with an allergic reaction!
