Walkin’ in L.A.

We’re back in Los Angeles! The kids are out on spring break and so are we. It’s lovely to be back.

We rented a house in Silverlake again—months ago—got in touch with the babysitter we loved so much last time for a few nights out, and then basically neglected to make any plans! I was just starting to look back at recommendations in the comments of our last travelogue and skim the pinboard I’d made when I got an email about a new trip-planning concierge service, Journy.

I told them: “we’ve basically done no planning, leave in 5 days, and are staying around the corner from Sunset Junction.” They asked a few more questions and then were kind enough to expedite a suggested itinerary for the entire week, all mapped with transit times and directions (for mobile), as well as restaurant reservations and backup suggestions. They’re geared for the age 5-and-over set, but I can tell just by looking at the list—based on what we already know or have heard about—that they’ve done a great job. I’m impressed.

I’ll let you know how it all turns out and what we end up doing!

In the meantime, these photos are from our week here last year: Los Angeles Part One and Los Angeles Part Two. Also, West LA.

And, for a limited time, Journy is being kind enough to offer 25% off their services to anyone else who wants to try their service for planning a trip by giving me a friends & family code to share: HITHERTHITHER25.

Of course I love getting suggestions—especially for things to do with kids—so I hope any Angelenos (or city-pros) will also weigh in!

Note: This is not a sponsored post, but I did receive Journy’s concierge service without a fee.
