A Salt & Battery

There’s something very romantic about eating fried fish from crisp, rolled-up paper. Our favorite spot to be whisked away to the UK is at the picturesque little shop, A Salt & Battery, in the West Village. We have been doing a lot of eating outside in parks–a perk both of summer and new parenthood–and made this one of our first stops the week after Hudson was born. There’s a small square nearby if the benches out front are occupied, or you can take your fare out to the river for stargazing.

What Aron didn’t snap a shot of is the fried Cadbury egg he got us. Talk about decadent goeyness! But our favorite treat remains the fried banana.

Have an indulgent weekend!
And thank you so much for all the birthday wishes!
