Lox papers

I’ve been a fan of Lox Papers and Jane Lily Warren’s moodboards, where she assembles her design inspiration, for a while now. Her collages are so lovely!
This month, Jane and two of her colleagues are launching a new magazine: Matchbook. I can’t wait to see what’s in store.
My parents flew in yesterday and are staying for a week, so we’ll be seeing the city through their eyes this weekend and doing our best to help them get used to the cold (they flew in from 75-degree Southern California). Hope you all have a cozy weekend!

(P.S. Speaking of magazines, did you hear that Lucky is launching a kids’ publication in March? And Lucky Home will be coming out soon, too!)

New Travelogue: Montreal

I’m happy to say that we have finally finished the travelogue for Monreal! Prior to to Christmas, we made an extended-weekend escape to Montreal, a city we’ve long intended to visit (albeit in the summer), to help celebrate ten years together. The city exceeded our expectations and made us hungry for more. Well… hungry is a bad descriptor, given that all we did was eat the whole time.
With culture more like that of Paris than of, say, New York, we are lucky to have it so close-by and hope to make more visits soon. If you’re interested, check out our full post, linked in the right column or here!

Serious Eater

I’ve got some exciting news to share: I’m contributing a weekly column to Serious Eats! Every Monday, you can find my review of a breakfast in the city on their site. My first post, on No. 7 Sub’s breakfast sandwiches ran yesterday.
So, New Yorkers: What are your favorite haunts for breakfast? Where should I check out next? The only catch is that they have to serve on weekday mornings, not just weekends. I’d love to hear your tips!
