!Feliz Cinco De Mayo!







Aron and I recently checked out the uber-stylish Tacombi @ Fonda Nolita for breakfast (the review will be up on Serious Eats this Monday). The kitchen is in a converted VW “Combi” that used to serve up fare beachside in Playa del Carmen. No doubt the cerveza will be flowing there tonight.

While I won’t be joining in for any Michelada-sipping this year, I think Cinco de Mayo might call for some baja-style fish tacos and guacamole. Any fun Cinco de Mayo-inspired plans?

Spring in Central Park

We missed some blooms while we were away, but definitely not all! This past week we’ve been going on plenty of walks in Central Park–it has been so beautiful!

Progress

Spring marches on, and Ashley is all aflutter over the asparagus that has just appeared at the greenmarket; I have to admit, it’s pretty wonderful. And I know I wasn’t the only one who emailed her this article in the New York Times. Speaking of progressing, Ashley posted a week-27 photo on baby mine. I think we are alternately getting used to, and surprised by, her growing belly.
