There’s so much to celebrate this weekend! Today is my dad’s birthday—Happy birthday, dad!—tomorrow is our 11th wedding anniversary, and of course Sunday is Mother’s Day!
Mother’s Day has perhaps been elevated to my favorite holiday of them all since having children. And finding that to be so has made me realize that I completely underestimated its importance when growing up and honoring my own mom. She—and I’m absolutely certain Aron would say the same of his mother—should have gotten a parade! Fortunately one of the amazing things about moms is how much enthusiasm they can drum up for classroom-art-project gifts. I’m looking forward to doing that very same thing (and I’m not saying it won’t be genuine) when Hudson brings home whatever it is he can’t stop telling me he has been making at school!
So thank you to both my mother and my mother-in-law for all of the enthusiasm and love you continue to give to us and to our children. And happy Mother’s Day to all of you who are reading. I hope you get to spend the day however you would most like. Finally, happy anniversary to my amazing husband!
Have a great weekend!
P.S. Some last-minute gifts.
