Shopping Sacramento: Scout Living

I’m still pretty fresh when it comes to unique , local shopping in Sacramento (and am open to suggestions!) despite having lived in Midtown for one year after college. But one spot I’ve returned to on multiple occasions now is Scout Living. (We found the Eames chair that some of you spotted in our dining room there!) It’s definitely my favorite shopping find so far.

An invitation-only collective of mid-century modern and designer vintage furniture, home accessories, and vintage couture, Scout Living opened in Midtown in 2011. The concept is pretty great: 20 dealers  rent out spaces in one place—in a nice, walkable neighborhood—rather than being scattered all over town. I feel like it’s the local alternative to driving all the way out to the Alameda Flea (though you know I’m pretty happy to do that, too).

They also have a website where the majority of what comes in is photographed and listed: Scout Living.

P.S. Case-study pots, Modern house numbers, and our mid-century home.
