Playing catch-up (& Monday Links)

That weekend came and went all too quickly! We were down in Palm Springs for most of it, and so I didn’t get a chance to log on and share the links I’d collected last week. We got home late last night, and today I’m unpacking and getting ready to volunteer in Hudson’s class for the first time this year—I can’t wait to get a peek at what’s going on in there. (I get very few details.) And tonight we’re riding our bikes to the Mondavi Center to see Hillary Clinton speak!

Because I’m still playing catch-up, here they are… a few days late. Hope your week is off to a great start!

There have been so many compelling articles shared on why we need common sense gun laws. Now. Three of my favorites:

What researchers learned about gun violence before congress defunded the CDC’s studies.

What else happened in the same week as the mass shooting in Las Vegas. (Can’t stop thinking about this. Read it aloud to be sure I wouldn’t skim.)

More of us agree than it seems on Facebook. “There is a lot more support for gun control than the N.R.A. would like to admit.” Inspiration to organize! Act locally! And not give up.
